Here at SBBCollege our aim is to help as many people as possible gain the formal qualifications needed to land the career of their dreams. That’s why we strive to make the application process for our degree programs as straight-forward and hassle-free as possible. The process is simple, but before diving straight into starting your application we advise that you read all of the information provided about the program and the application process so you can be fully prepared.
The main thing to know before starting your application is what the entry requirements are for your chosen degree program; our associate’s program for network administration requires that you have a high school diploma or GED to access the course. These prior requirements simply indicate that you have a solid enough grounding of academic experience to handle the workload for this course.
In considering your acceptance for admission, we will also consider various other factors, including employment history, extra-curricular interests and personal references.
If you don’t have the necessary qualifications, we offer a GED Preparation program which will put you on course to pass all the elements of the GED exam (language arts, math, science and social studies) needed to gain access on to the program if you do not have a high school diploma.
If you are unsure about entry requirements, you can discuss this with a member of our admissions staff. It may be wise to speak to someone about your circumstances if you are unsure of how to progress, as they can offer guidance specific to your situation, including financial aid. You can schedule an information session with a member of our staff by completing our simple online form.
All of our degree programs are fully accredited by the Accrediting Council of Independent Colleges and Schools (ACICS). Choosing an accredited program is important, as the quality of degree you earn can potentially have considerable impact on future job opportunities.
Accreditation of your degree assures future employers or education institutions that you have acquired a certain standard of skill and knowledge in this subject area. Studying for an accredited degree provides benefits for those applying for scholarships or funding opportunities – as they are considered more likely to achieve a career in their chosen field than those studying for non-accredited degrees.
One of the many features which differentiate SBBC from other colleges is our dedication to keeping our class sizes small (typically no more than 20 students). This allows for a level of personalized attention few colleges can compete with. It’s important that you take time to ensure your application is a strong representation of your suitability for the program so that you may find a place in our classrooms.
After submitting your written application, our admissions staff will consider multiple factors to determine if you are a strong candidate for the program. As well as existing academic qualifications, we will evaluate any relevant work experience and personal skills shown by your application.
Before completing your application, give careful consideration to your motivations in applying for this particular program. Applicants with a clear understanding of why they are pursuing their desired career path tend to have a much higher success rate in applying to colleges. Some of the questions worth asking yourself before applying would include:
We appreciate that you may not have a perfect vision of your future career path at this stage in the application process, but we like to see students thinking about the bigger picture. We believe it is important that you have a realistic understanding of the industry in question and are clear about the kind of commitment required to successfully complete this degree program.
