Rancho Mirage is the newest of our campuses, opened in 2011, after moving from a smaller site in Palm Desert. Our relocation to Rancho Mirage not only provided extra room to cater to a growing number of students, but also allowed us to establish a presence in this picturesque and lively city in the Coachella Valley.
Set in the heart of the Valley region, our college in Rancho Mirage provides an excellent base for students of any age to enjoy their studies. This area is a cultural hotspot and always has lots going on with regular and annual events which attract visitors from all over the country. This lively environment, partnered with our close-knit campus, makes for a unique studying experience.
Our Rancho Mirage campus is set in the bustling commercial center of the city, and all of the amenities you could need are set within walking distance. As well as the local attractions and facilities, we have regular events and campus activities - making it easy to meet new friends.
At SBBC we pride ourselves on offering the very best support to all of our students. This is why we strive to limit class sizes to no more than 20 people, meaning you receive a personalized level of education not possible at most other schools. In addition to this we offer a range of practical training which can help you find a job once you graduate.
Shopping: Just a few minutes’ walk off campus is Monterey Marketplace, a 50 acre shopping center with top brands and local retailers, and a number of supermarkets and grocery stores.
US Post Office: The local Post Office is just 5 minutes’ walk from campus.
Public Library: The Rancho Mirage Public Library is less than 10 minutes’ drive off campus.
Movie Theaters: Rancho Mirage has a theater to suit all movie fans, from the Desert IMAX Theater to the Retro-style Cinemark and everything in-between.
City Parks: Rancho Mirage’s picturesque location means there are lots of local parks. Just a short 10 minute drive from campus is the impressive Blixseth Mountain Park. Also close by is the unique sculpture park Cancer Survivors Park – a beautiful one acre park with ponds, waterfalls and a pyramid kiosk.
Our Rancho Mirage campus places you on the doorstep of one of the world’s biggest music and arts festivals – Coachella Festival takes place just 20 minutes’ drive from campus. Across two weekends in April, thousands of music fans flock to the city to see some of the biggest names in music perform. In 2014, the festival attracted an attendance of 579,000.
That’s right, there are actually two world famous festivals held near our Rancho Mirage campus. The annual Palm Springs Film Festival takes place each January, and welcomes an average of 130,00 visitors including a host of A-List stars, who in recent years have included Ben Affleck, Leonardo DiCaprio, Brad Pitt, Natalie Portman and Kate Winslet. The site for the festival is situated just 10 miles away from campus.
Palm Springs Art Museum: Just a few miles from campus is the widely recognized Palm Springs Art Museum. The Museum exhibits a range of contemporary and Native American art.
Cabot’s Pueblo Museum: This historic house museum, located a short drive away from our campus, offers a fascinating insight into the rich cultural heritage of the Rancho Mirage area.
Coachella Valley History Museum: This detailed and interactive museum gives an excellent introduction to the history of the Valley region.
Rancho Mirage has many great hiking routes and the beautiful Indian Canyons, located just 25 minutes’ drive from campus, is among the very best. This exceptional desert landscape offers the perfect getaway from the pressures of studies and daily life.
One of the hidden gems of the area, the unique Ariel Tramway ride takes you across the Valley skyline. Beginning on the desert floor and ascending to the top of the mountains, the 8516 feet journey in a 360 degree rotating tramcar gives the kind of breathtaking views you will want to see again.

Less than 10 miles from our Rancho Mirage campus is one of the best attractions in the state. This 1800 acre park houses an incredible range of desert animals including lions, giraffes and snakes. Seeing these desert creatures in their natural environment is an opportunity not to be missed.
The Rancho Mirage area has a number of exquisite courses for golfers. Within walking distance of the campus is the Westin Mission Hills Resort, which has two championship level courses. A short drive away is the Rancho Las Palmas Country Club, which has 27 championship holes.
