Associate's Criminal Justice

Cj Female Police Officer

The SBBCollege Associate’s degree program in Criminal Justice prepares students for entry-level employment in security and other criminal justice-related fields. The program provides a basic understanding of the criminal justice system and social and behavioral sciences.

The SBBCollege Criminal Justice associate's degree program is designed as a multifaceted program of study. The student is prepared for entry-level employment or advancement in law enforcement, corrections, probation, immigration, security services and comparable types of employment. Students preparing for a career in criminal justice and security will study private, industrial, and retail security.

The Higher Education Act of 1965 (HEA), as amended by the Higher Education Opportunity Act of 2008 (HEOA), requires postsecondary education institutions to distribute or make available consumer information, including graduation rates, median debt of graduates, and other important information.

Degree programs in criminal justice are not designed to be academy training programs for law enforcement. While organizations may accept these degrees as a foundation for employment, it's likely that additional requirements such as academy or specialized training, mental and physical examinations, background checks, and age restrictions will be required.
