Open to the public and to all ages, the GED course prepares students for all five areas of the GED exam – reading, writing, math, science and social studies. With its small-class setting, the course allows our students to experience more individual attention. Meeting a few days a week, students are prepared to sit for the GED examination in just a few months.
Along with instruction in core subject areas, the GED preparation program includes test-taking strategies. These strategies help our students understand the format and timeframe of the GED exam, and provide a way to approach each type of test question, including essay questions.
After successfully earning the GED, students are eligible to enroll in SBBCollege’s academic and career training programs. Currently, the GED preparation program is offered at our Bakersfield, Ventura, Santa Barbara and Santa Maria campuses, and coming to a campus near you!
