SBBCollege’s Hands-On Training in the Medical Assisting Lab

Santa Barbara Business College uses, whenever possible, "hands-on" exercises in addition to traditional classroom learning. Many of our students have told us they love that the things they learn in the classroom are the duties they'll actually be performing on the job!

Students in our medical assisting program let us hang out with them during their medical training lab - which included hours of practicing blood draws, EKGs, vital sign assessments and so much more! SBBCollege's medical office training courses usually have about 10-20 students per class, allowing medical students to have more direct one-on-one interaction with the instructor.

Thank you to our students at our Ventura college medical lab for letting us be apart of the lab experience!

The medical assisting training program is offered at the College's campus locations in Bakersfield, Rancho Mirage, Santa Barbara, Ventura and Santa Maria. Along with the hands-on training, students in the medical school program also participate in an externship program, where they can receive real-world work experience in the medical field before they graduate.
